About God Bud
God Bud is an indica bred by BC Bud Depot in British Columbia from a cross of Hawaiian and Purple Skunk. It picked up awards in the early 2000s and has remained a familiar name in Canada ever since, while also showing up on menus across the United States. You may see it sold as BC God Bud or Purple God Bud.
The aroma blends sweet berries and lavender-like florals with a deep, earthy base and a light skunky tang. Buds are typically dense and resinous, often streaked with purple and wrapped in orange hairs. Myrcene tends to drive the musky, fruity side, caryophyllene adds a peppery warmth, and pinene can bring a faint fresh pine note.
God Bud is commonly described as relaxed, sleepy and happy, and most people reach for it at night when they want to wind down completely. THC usually ranges from 15% to 22%, with minimal CBD, which puts it in a moderate to strong range for a classic indica.
This heritage strain is a good fit for people who appreciate old-school Canadian genetics and a heavier, calming finish to the day. Start low, go slow, and plan to stay in once the effects settle. Use WhereLeaf to find God Bud at licensed dispensaries and delivery services near you.
